Cookie Policy
Date of publication: 06-Feb-2025
Last update: 10-Jul-2025
This policy, together with the Privacy Policy, sets out some rules regarding the management of the ViviCosì website, including the use of users’ information.
In particular, this section provides information about the cookies active on the website and how they are used. The Cookie Policy (or “extended information notice on the use of cookies”) below relates to the use of cookies on the website and is provided to the user in compliance with the Italian Data Protection Authority’s measure “Identification of simplified procedures for the information notice and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies,” as well as in accordance with further clarifications and guidelines issued by the same Authority, national legislation, and relevant European authorities (see Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools – 10 June 2021).
WHAT ARE COOKIES
A “cookie” is a small text file installed by certain websites on a user’s computer when the user accesses a particular site or uses specific services offered by that site. Its purpose is to store and carry information. Cookies are sent by a web server (i.e. the computer running the visited website) to the user’s browser (such as Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and are stored on the user’s device. For more information and to learn more about cookies in general, you can visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR
In general, cookies can be used for various reasons, for example to track how visitors use the website, to improve navigation across pages, to allow users to set personal preferences on the sites they visit, to protect user security, or to display advertising messages based on visitors’ interests.
TYPES OF COOKIES AND PURPOSES
In general, and according to common terminology, cookies can have different characteristics that allow them to be classified based on:
how long they remain on the user’s device: in this case, they are referred to as session/temporary cookies or persistent cookies;
their origin: in this case, they are referred to as first-party cookies (sent directly to the browser by the website being visited) or third-party cookies (sent to the browser by other websites, not by the site being visited);
their purpose: in this case, and in line with the provisions established by the Italian Data Protection Authority, they are categorized as technical cookies, analytical cookies, or profiling cookies.
Following this classification, the same cookie may simultaneously have all these characteristics. For example, it could be a persistent cookie, originating from a third party, and used for profiling purposes.
DURATION OF STORAGE
Session/temporary cookies: these are not stored persistently but only for the duration of the browsing session. This means they are automatically deleted from the user’s device once the user leaves the website and closes their browser.
Persistent cookies: these remain stored on the user’s device until the user deletes them or until their preset expiry date is reached. They are therefore not automatically deleted when the user leaves the website.
ORIGIN
First-party cookies: these are cookies issued by the website the user is currently visiting; this website corresponds to the address typed by the user (the website shown in the URL window).
Third-party cookies: these are cookies issued by a website different from the one the user is currently visiting.
PURPOSE
Technical cookies: These cookies are essential for browsing the website and for using certain specific features. They can be further divided into:
Navigation/communication/performance cookies: ensure normal browsing and use of the website (for example, enabling purchases or authentication to access restricted areas). If these cookies are blocked, the website might not function properly.
“Strictly necessary” cookies (functionality/preferences/location/session status): allow information to be stored that changes the behavior or appearance of the website (such as preferred language, text and font sizes, geographic area where the user is located). If blocked, the browsing experience will be less functional but not compromised. These cookies enable the website to remember choices the user makes (such as language preferences, selected content of interest, etc.) and to provide customized features in order to improve the browsing experience. In some cases, these cookies may also be used to offer online services (e.g., live chat) or to prevent offering services the user has previously declined.
Analytical cookies: Analytical cookies are used to enable web services to collect information about users’ access to the website, such as the number of visitors, how long they stay, and which parts of the website they visit. These cookies may be either first-party or third-party cookies.
Third-party statistical/analytics cookies without identifying power (with IP masking and no combination with other data held by the third party): Under current regulations, these cookies can be treated as technical cookies because they meet the following conditions: measures are adopted to reduce the identifying power of the cookies by masking parts of the IP address; the third party undertakes to use these cookies exclusively to provide the service, to store them separately, and not to “enrich” or combine them with other information in its possession.
Third-party statistical/analytics cookies with identifying power: these cookies are used to collect information and generate statistics about website usage in order to understand how visitors interact with the website. These cookies are considered to have high identifying potential when the following conditions are not met at the same time: (i) measures to reduce the identifying power of the cookies are not adopted (such as masking significant portions of the IP address); (ii) the third party combines the information contained in the cookies with other information already held.
WHICH COOKIES WE USE AND HOW TO MANAGE OR DELETE COOKIES
This website uses various types of cookies and similar technologies, each with a specific function. Users can browse the site even without the use of cookies, but the browsing experience might not be optimal.
The website uses the Cookie Solution system (also known as a CMP – Cookie Management Platform) provided by the Complianz BV (UE) – privacy statement which allows for the detection and storage of Users’ preferences regarding the collection, use, and processing of their personal information, as required by applicable legislation. For a detailed list of the cookies used, please refer to the banner that appears when you first access the website, where a granular cookie policy is provided. Users can always review their previously given consent preferences by clicking the icon located at the bottom of every page of the website.
HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES
In addition to the cookie banner shown upon entering the homepage—which includes a short notice about cookie use and the option to “accept” or “reject” non-essential cookies—users can also manage their preferences directly through their browser settings.
Most web browsers are initially set to automatically accept cookies. These settings can be changed to block cookies or to alert users when cookies are being sent to their device. Additionally, users can delete cookies from their devices at the end of each browsing session. There are several ways to manage cookies. Please refer to your specific browser’s instructions for details.
If different devices are used to access the website (e.g., computers, smartphones, tablets), users must ensure that each browser on each device is set according to their cookie preferences.
As mentioned above, for a more detailed management of cookies used for behavioral advertising, preferences can be changed at the following link:
By selecting the links below, you can access specific instructions on how to manage cookies using some of the most popular web browsers.

If none of the browsers listed above are used, you can still select the “cookie” option in your browser’s help section to find out where to manage them.
Below are the categories of cookies used and their respective functions.
Navigation and session cookies
Navigation and session cookies ensure the normal browsing and use of the website (for example, allowing the identification of bots and protecting the site from harmful spam attacks). Navigation cookies are technical cookies and are therefore necessary for the functioning of the site, improving its quality and browsing experience. These cookies do not store personal identifying data. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.
Third-party requests
Third-party requests are all those requests a site makes to load content from third-party domains. The connection can be a subdomain of the site’s domain or an unrelated domain name. While some third-party requests are necessary for the functionality of a site—such as content loaded from a content delivery network—other requests are used to display advertisements, social media buttons, tracking scripts, or other content. This site uses content services provided by Google (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com, etc.) and other third parties (analytics.ahrefs.com). For more information, please refer to the policies of the providers – Google – Privacy policy; Ahrefs – policy.
